The department's courses cover the fields of urban regional planning, rural development, tourism and industrial planning. The department targets a graduate who has the ability to understand the
mutual relationships between urban clusters, and is able to understand the spatial developmental links between urban clusters. He can prepare regional plans at the level of city regions and
strategic plans for governorates, in addition to urban development strategies for planning regions and national projects and formulating land uses at the national level.
